I’m running for Mayor of Washington because I believe our city deserves leadership that is transparent, fiscally responsible, and truly community-centered.

As a U.S. Army Veteran and former Public Affairs Officer, I learned that leadership starts with integrity, clear communication, and service before self. In uniform, I was entrusted with telling the Army’s story and building trust during moments of challenge and change. Those lessons shaped the way I approach every role in my life today.

I’ve built a small business right here in Washington as the owner of The Ell Hotel, and I serve on boards including the Chamber of Commerce, the Washington Harbor District Alliance, and Heart for ENC. These roles have allowed me to work alongside neighbors, business owners, and community leaders to tackle challenges and move Washington forward. While I haven’t served on City Council, my military, business, and nonprofit experience has prepared me to lead with accountability and collaboration from day one. I have a proven record of bringing people together to find solutions and turn ideas into action.

My priorities are clear. First, we must restore trust in local government by making information accessible and ensuring residents are part of the conversation. I will champion open governance through regular town halls, weekly updates, and two-way dialogue that puts people at the center of decision-making. Second, Washington families deserve relief from rising costs. I will advocate for lowering property tax rates and practicing fiscal discipline so that city government lives within its means, just as our residents must do.

Finally, I believe in smart, responsible growth that builds on our successes downtown and extends that same vitality to neighborhoods across the city. Our future should be one where Washington remains welcoming, walkable, and sustainable for generations to come.

This city has given me a place to plant roots, build a business, and be part of a community I deeply value. Change begins at the ballot box on October 16th, and together we can build a stronger Washington.
